About New Ark Chorale

Mission Statement

As an auditioned, community based choral music organization, the mission of the New Ark Chorale is to prepare and to perform affordable and accessible choral singing of the highest artistic standards to audiences of all ages in the Delaware Valley area, through concerts, collaborations with other musical organizations, and being actively involved in the local community. By singing music in all styles from the past to the present, our audiences and performers expand their knowledge of and appreciation for the choral music art form.

Auditions

The New Ark Chorale holds auditions at mutual convenience and at the discretion of the Director.  Potential singers should prepare  a solo and will be given the opportunity to display their music reading ability. Contact music director, Dr. Michael Larkin at mlarksing@aol.com or (302) 475-5658 to make an appointment.

Dr. Michael H. Larkin, Director

Dr. Michael Larkin is founder and music director of the New Ark Chorale.  Dr. Larkin served as artistic advisor for the Vocal/Choral Department and as an artist faculty voice teacher with distinction at The Music School of Delaware in Wilmington, DE where he assisted in the coordination of vocal/choral studies, and teaches studio voice and choral conducting.

Wendy McNally, Accompanist

Wendy McNally is accompanist for the New Ark Chorale.  Wendy holds an Artist's Certificate in Chamber Music from Cours Internationale de Musique in Morges, Switzerland, a master of music degree in piano performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a bachelor of music in music education degree (cum laude) from Ithaca College, New York.
